Historic isi-sys shearography deployment on the X-38 spacecraft heat shield, using dynamic excitation to inspect C-Si-C composite structure. Local vibration response revealed defect indications in the nose hood area, demonstrating shearography’s value for high-performance aerospace composites.
Dynamic shearography inspection of a 30.5 m carbon fibre / NOMEX honeycomb yacht hull. The full-field method covered the complete hull in 240 shots over three workdays and detected bonding defects confirmed by core sampling
Dynamic shearography inspection of a wind turbine blade section with foam blocks and resin bridges. Vibration excitation revealed debonding behaviour and resin bridge defects across selected frequencies, demonstrating full-field defect detection in GFRP sandwich structures.
